Art from my Yellowstone trip

Above is a painting I did of the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park. Each different color is a different mat of vividly colored microbes. The center of the spring is difficult to see most of the time. When I was there in August, the steam covered most of the view so I took a photo of the edges of the spring with the steam in the distance. The colors were so vivid and beautiful that I wanted to try to paint them. While I didn't do it justice, I'm pretty proud of my first acrylic painting.

Here is a picture from my phone of the spring from that morning. There is no way to describe how beautiful the steam above it looks.
